March 3, 2008 - The Friends of the Zoo campaign committee is announcing locations for their famed Honk & Waves signaling the approach of the final days, and subsequent final hours, before Tuesday's Vote. The always memorable Honk & Wave, featuring animals (mascots), will once again be held on Election Eve, this year falling on March 3 from 4-5:30PM, at the following locations:

1) The End of 5th Street downtown, between Sentinel & Pike, in the area just left of the entrance to Columbia Parkway.
2) Mitchell at Vine Street on the west side corners.
3) Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive at Vine, on the north and east side corners. *Thane Maynard at this location until 4:45PM.
4) Madison Road at Dana Avenue, in Hyde Park.

December 19, 2007 - The Board of County Commissioners Meeting at the County Administration Building convened and a resolution to place a tax levy renewal on the ballot on March 4, 2008, was unanimously approved. The .46 mill renewal, if approved by voters of Hamilton County, would generate $36,348,020 over the course of the five-year period (2009-2013).
